Yanik Silver…WOW!....Why couldn’t I have been born with a name like that! And while I’m moaning my early life experiences, why couldn’t I have been learning sales skills as a teenager instead of bobbling around in a state of semi-consciousness building tract homes and scraping plates at local country clubs? Last but not least, why couldn’t I have met up with Dan Kennedy in my travels?
If you haven’t guessed by now, Yank Silver did not get his start in construction. He sold medical equipment offline and ran many successful marketing campaigns by using his now famous copywriting skills. Plus he learned from the Master, Dan Kennedy.
Yanik Silver’s claim to fame is his “instant sales letter” device: Just fill in the blanks with your own sales-product and contact info and them send them out to the masses. These letters are particularly useful for those who have not yet acquired the experience to create their own, and they were very innovative in their day. I find the world is now inundated with mass produced sales letters. To put it bluntly, people are craving a more personal touch.
I must sing Yanik’s praises, however. His prices are fair; his products are helpful; he answers his emails and is both polite and respectful. A list of Yanik Silver’s achievements includes five books (and counting). I particularly like Mind Motivators: Psychological Tactics to Capture More Profits. This man knows his psychology and he is well aware that psychology and marketing go hand in hand. As for his “instant sales letter” approach… again, I am in favor of the personal touch. In general, though, Yanik Silver has clear information and good tools. His blog rocks!
