I am not willing, however, to spend thousands of dollars on anybody’s information product, no matter how ‘B.S.’ free it is. Fortunately, Dan Kennedy has a newsletter, a no-nonsense blog and many books to recommend. Every marketer would add to his information to read at least one. I personally like his blogs. They are short and sweet. Dan Kennedy has perfected the technique of putting one idea at a time into the head of a student.
Although Mr. Kennedy is the king of direct mail marketing and leans heavily towards offline marketing, as I have hinted, his teachings are invaluable. (How else could he have fathered so many of the Greats? Plus, there is a ton of money to be had by reaching out to folks in their homes, i.e.stuffing mailboxes. Look at Bose Electronics, for example. They’ve taken a relatively OK product and made everyone think it’s truly special--all by using direct mail: Try our product free for sixty days. We are so sure you will find our sound system superior, we’ll pay return shipping…
Do not be fooled by Dan Kennedy’s website, however. If you want to be entertained or made jealous by rags-to-riches testimonials from ‘regular raggy people’, you will be disappointed. Check it out, though and let me know what you think.
